Hee J. Kim is an Of Counsel attorney of the Obagi Law Group, P.C.
Mr. Kim was invited by two senior attorneys in Oakland, California, to be a named partner of an LLP as soon as he was admitted to the State Bar and able to practice law as an attorney. Since then, Mr. Kim decided to part from the partnership, and he currently operates the Hee J. Kim Law Firm, PC, in Oakland.
After successfully co-counseling, and working with Mr. Obagi in various matters, he and Mr. Kim decided to make a concerted effort to bring the resources and expertise of both firms together for the mutual benefit of all their clients.
Mr. Kim brings extensive litigation experience to the Obagi Law Group, P.C. He focuses his practice on special education law, personal injury and contract disputes.
He has successfully represented students with disabilities in obtaining appropriate services in public school districts all throughout the Bay Area, especially in many “gray” areas of the law. Of particular note, Mr. Kim has assisted students of pre-school age obtain public schooling (or publicly funded schooling) and special education services in public school districts not operating pre-school classrooms.
Mr. Kim has helped recover millions in settlements and judgments for his personal injury clients, ranging from minor incidents to wrongful deaths. And he regularly assists defense attorneys representing individuals, public entities, and private corporations, against personal injury claims.
He has also assisted clients with various contractual disputes, from partnership and shareholder agreement disputes, to commercial and residential lease breaches.
Mr. Kim is a first-generation Korean-American and was born and raised in Sonoma County, California. He is committed to providing cost-conscious, goal oriented representation.
